40 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in Color 1
Small amount of King Cole Big Value Baby DK in Color 2
OR
1.5oz of Light Worsted Weight #3 in Color 1
Small amount of Light Worsted Weight #3 in Color 2
5.00mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks
Decorative rosebuds (optional)
GAUGE - 5dc and 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch using 4.00mm hook

Booties - With 5.00mm hook and color 1, ch21 loosely, sl st to first ch to make a
circle, change to 4.00mm hook, ch1, (RS) 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each ch to end,
sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off. Turn. (21sc).
Instep - With WS facing skip 7sc, join yarn to next sc, ch1, 1sc in each of next
6sc, turn leaving 7sc un-worked. (7sc)
Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1 and turning at the end of each row, work 6
more rows of sc. Fasten off. Turn.
Shape Sole - With WS facing return to back seam where you casted off at ankle.

arrows.
Rejoin yarn to first sc, ch1, work 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 6sc along
first half of ankle, 7sc evenly in row ends up first side of instep, working along
toe edge work 1sc in each of next 7sc, 1sc in each of next 7 row ends down second
side of instep, 1sc in each of next 7sc along second half of ankle, sl st to first
sc on beginning of row. Turn. (35sc).
2nd Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning
of row. Turn
3rd Row - (Dec Row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, dec (see abbrev) 1sc over next 2sc,
1sc in each of next 11sc, dec 1sc over next 2sc, 1sc in each of next 3sc, dec 1sc
over next 2sc, 1sc in next 11sc, dec 1sc over next 2sc, 1sc in last sc, sl st to
first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (31sc)
4th Row - Rpt 2nd Row.
5th Row - (Dec Row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, dec 1sc over next 2sc, 1sc in next 10sc,
dec 1sc over next 2sc, 1sc in next sc, dec 1sc over next 2sc, 1sc in next 10sc, dec
1sc over next 2sc, 1sc in last sc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (27sc)
6th Row - Rpt 2nd Row twice.
Do not turn, sl st or over sew both sides together to close open seam on the bottom
of the bootie.
Top - With WS facing rejoin yarn to cast on edge, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * skip
ch1, 5dc in next ch, skip ch1, 1sc in next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 4ch, skip
ch1, 5dc in next ch, skip 2ch, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (5 groups)
Pattern Row 1 - ch3, * 5dc in centre dc of next 5dc group, 1dc in sc, * rpt from
* to * to last 5dc group, 5dc in centre dc of 5dc group, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning
of row. Turn.
Pattern Row 2 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * 5dc in centre dc of next 5dc group, 1sc
in next single dc, * rpt from * to * last 5dc group, work 5dc in centre dc of 5dc
group, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Join in color 2 to first sc with a sl st, * 1hdc in each of next 5dc, sl st in next
sc, * rpt from * to * to last 5dc group, 1hdc in each of 5dc, sl st to first sl st
on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Beanie Hat - Using 4.00mm hook and color 1, ch6 and join with a sl st to form a ring,
ch3, 13dc in ring, join with sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.
Row 2 - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 2dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning
of row. Turn. (27dc + ch3).
Row 3 - ch3, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, 2dc
in dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (41dc + ch3).
Row 4 - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 1dc in each of next 20dc, 2dc in next dc, 1dc in
each of next 20dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (43dc + ch3)
Row 5 - ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.
Row 6 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * skip 1dc, 5dc in next dc, skip 1dc, 1sc in next
dc, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc, skip 1dc, 5dc in next dc, skip 1dc, sl st to first
sc on beginning of row. Turn. (11 groups)
Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 from booties twice. Fasten off. Turn.
Join in color 2 to first sc with a sl st, * 1hdc in each of next 5dc, sl st in next
sc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to first sl st on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave in all ends of yarn on hat and booties and trim off, attach decorative
rosebuds to beanie and each bootie.
