1.5 groups and 3 pattern rows measures approx 1 Inch using 4.00mm hook

Worked in one piece starting with yoke - Using 4.00mm hook and main color yarn, ch55, (RS) 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in the next 6ch (front), 3dc in next ch, 1dc in next 8ch (shoulder), 3dc in next ch, 1dc in the next 17ch (back), 3dc in next ch, 1dc in the next 8ch (shoulder), 3dc in next ch, 1dc in the next 8ch (front). Turn. (60dc + ch3)


2nd Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc to end, 1sc in top of ch3. Turn.


3rd Row - Working in back loop of stitch, ch3, 1dc in the next 8sc, 3dc in next sc, 1dc in next 10sc, 3dc in next sc, 1dc in the next 19sc, 3dc in next sc, 1dc in the next 10sc, 3dc in the next sc, 1dc in the next 9sc. Turn. (68dc + ch3)


4th Row - Working through both loops of stitch rpt 2nd Row. Turn.

Next Row - ch3, skip ch2, * (1sc, 3dc, 1sc) in ch2 space between sc’s, skip ch2,

* rpt from * to * to end, 1dc in 3rd of ch5. Turn. Fasten off. (30 groups)


Join in contrast color yarn.


Pattern Row 1 - ch5, * (1sc, ch2, 1sc) in centre dc of group, ch2, * rpt from * to * to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.


Pattern Row 2 - ch3, skip ch2, * (1sc, 3dc, 1sc) in 2ch space between sc’s, skip ch2, * rpt from * to * to end, 1dc in 3rd of ch5. Turn.


Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 in contrast color 7 more times. Fasten off.


Join in main color yarn.


Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 once or until work measures 11.5” from shoulder. Fasten off.


Sleeves x 2 - With 4.00mm hook, and WS facing rejoin main color to centre dc

of 5dc at base of armhole.


Next Row - Working through both loops of stitch ch1, 1sc in same dc, 1sc in each of next 31dc, 1sc in centre of 5dc on opposite side of armhole, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (33sc)


Next Row - Working in back loop ch3, 1dc in each sc to end, sl st to top of ch3

on beginning of row. Turn. (32dc + ch3)


Rpt last 2 rows until 7dc rows have been worked in all from yoke or underarm sleeve seam measures approx 4.5 Inches. Fasten off. Turn.


Cuff - With 4.00mm hook join in contrast color yarn, work ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row.


Next Row - Working in front loop of stitch ch3, skip 2sc * (1sc, 3dc, 1sc) in next sc, skip 2sc, * rpt from * to * to last 2sc, skip last 2sc, sl st to top of ch3. Turn.

(10 Groups)


Row 1 - Work through both loops of stitch from now on, ch5, * (1sc, ch2, 1sc) in centre dc of group, ch2, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to 3rd of ch5.


Row 2 - ch3, skip ch2, * (1sc, 3dc, 1sc) in 2ch space between sc’s, skip ch2, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3. Turn.


Rpt Row 1 & 2 once. Fasten off. Turn cuff back onto RS of sleeve.


Collar - With 4.50mm hook and WS facing rejoin contrast color yarn to neck edge, work ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (53sc)


Next Row - Working in front loop of stitch ch3, skip 1sc, * (1sc, 3dc, 1sc) in next sc, skip 2sc, * rpt from * to * to last 2sc, skip 1sc, 1dc in last sc. Turn. (17 Groups)


Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 from skirt twice. Fasten off.


Button/Buttonhole Bands (Written for a boy, but can be changed to opposite side for a girl) - Starting with WS facing, using 4.00mm hook join main color yarn

at neck edge on right hand front, working downwards work ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 51 more sc evenly along in row ends. Turn. (52sc)


Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn. Rpt last row once. Fasten off.


Next Row - Working on WS join main color to lower front edge, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 51 more sc evenly along in row ends up to neck edge. Turn.


Next Row (Buttonholes) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in next 10sc, * rpt from * to * three more times, ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in remaining sc. Turn.


Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each sc and 2ch space to end. Fasten off.


Finishing - Close small gaps underarms, sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes, sew in and tie off any loose ends of yarn.
