GAUGE - 5dc and 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch using 4.00mm hook

Cardigan -

Start with Yoke worked in one piece. Using 4.00mm hook and main color yarn, ch47, (RS) 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in the next 5ch's, (Front) 3dc in next ch, 1dc in next 7ch's, (shoulder) 3dc in next ch, 1dc in the next 13ch's, (Back) 3dc in next ch, 1dc in the next 7ch's, (shoulder) 3dc in next ch, 1dc in the next 7ch's, (Front). Turn. (52dc + ch3)

2nd Row - (Inc Row) ch3, * 1dc in each dc to next 3dc group, 1dc in next dc, 3dc in centre dc of group, * rpt from * to * to ch3 to turn with, work 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (60dc + ch3)

3rd to 8th Row - rpt 2nd Row. Turn. (108dc + ch3)

9th Row - (Divide for Armholes) ch3, 1dc in each of next 14dc, 2dc in next dc, skip 23dc, 1dc in each of next 31dc, skip 23dc, 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 14dc, 1dc in top of ch3, Turn. (64dc + ch3)

10th Row - (Inc) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in next dc * work 2sc in next dc, 1sc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc and ch3 to turn with, 1sc in next dc, 1sc in top of ch3. Turn. (96sc)

Commence Skirt -

ch3, * skip 2sc, 5dc in next sc, skip 2sc, 1dc in next sc

Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 once in main color followed by once in contrast color 1. Fasten off. Join in main color yarn and work Pattern Row 1 Turn.

Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * skip 2dc, 7dc in next dc, skip 2dc, 1sc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, working last sc in top of ch3. Fasten off.

Sleeves x 2 -

With 4.00mm hook and RS facing, rejoin main color to side of dc

at base of armhole, ch3, 1dc in same space, work 1dc in each of next 24dc, 2dc in side of dc on opposite side of sleeve, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (26dc + ch3)

Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in dc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (27sc)

Next Row - ch3, skip 1sc, * 5dc in next sc, skip 2sc, 1dc in next sc, skip 2sc,

* rpt from * to * to last 3sc, skip 1sc, 5dc in next sc, skip 1sc, sl st to top of ch3

on beginning of row. (5, 5dc groups)

Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * skip 2dc, 7dc in next dc, skip 2dc, 1sc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last single dc, 7dc in last dc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off. DNT.

With RS facing join in contrast color 2, ch1, sl st to base of ch1, * 1sc in each of next 7dc, sl st in next sc, * rpt from * to end, sl st to first sl st on beginning or row. Underarm sleeve seam measures approx 4 Inches. Fasten off.

Button/Buttonhole Bands -

With RS facing and main color, starting at lower edge on right front, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 35sc evenly in row ends up first front edge, 3sc in corner, 1sc in ch around neck, 3sc in corner, work 36sc evenly in row ends down second front edge. Turn.

Next row - (Buttonholes) Work ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to corner, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each sc around neck to next corner, 1sc in corner, * ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each of next 6sc, * rpt from * to * once, ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each sc

to end. Turn. Fasten off.

Contrast Edge -

Join in contrast color 2, ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc and ch2 space up first front edge, 1sc, 1sl st in corner, sl st in each sc around neck to next corner, 1sl st, 1sc in corner, 1sc in each sc down second front to corner, 3sc in corner, working along bottom of cardigan work 1sc in row end,

* sl st in next sc, 1sc in each of next 7dc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st in last sc, 1sc in row end, 1sc in base of ch1, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing - Close small gap underarm, weave in ends, sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes, decorate with ribbon bows.

Pants -

With 4.00mm hook and main color ch68, sl st to first ch to make a ring, ch3, 1dc in each ch to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.

(67dc + ch3)

Next Row - ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt last row until 8 rows have been worked. Fasten off. Join in contrast 1 and rpt last row twice. Fasten off. Re-join main color and rpt last row twice. You should have 12 rows worked in all or work now measures approx 5 Inches from beginning. Turn.

Divide for Legs

First Leg - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 33dc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (34sc)

Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. Rpt last row once. DNT. Fasten off. Join in contrast color 2 and rpt last row once. Fasten off.

Second Leg - Return to un-worked dc at division, with main color ch1, 1sc in each dc to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. (34sc)

Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, slip stitching and turning at the end of each row, work two rows of 1sc in each sc to end. Fasten off. Work 1 row of sc in contrast color 2. Fasten off.

With RS facing, 4.00mm hook and main color, starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 67 more sc evenly along cast on ch at waist, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (68sc) Work 1 more row of sc on these stitches in main color

Contrast Edge - Work 1sc row in contrast color 2. Fasten off.

Finishing - Close small gap on crotch, weave in ends, thread ribbon through alternate dc's on waist and tie in a bow.

Beanie Hat - (Made in continuous rows without turning until row 5)

With 4.00mm hook and main color, ch6, sl st to first ch to form a ring, ch3, work 11dc in ring, join with sl st to top of ch3.

Row 2 - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 2dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3. (23dc + ch3)

Row 3 - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 1dc in next dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in next dc,

* rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3. (35dc + ch3)

Row 4 - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3. (47dc + ch3)

Row 5 - ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3. Turn. (63dc + ch3)

Row 6 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (64sc)

Row 7 - ch3, skip 1dc, * 5dc in next sc, skip 2sc, 1dc in next sc, skip 2sc, * rpt from * to * to last 4sc, skip 2sc, 5dc in next sc, skip 1sc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (11, 5dc groups)

Row 8 - ch3, 2dc in base of ch3, * skip 2dc, 1dc in next dc, skip 2dc, 5dc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 5dc group, skip 2dc, 1dc in next dc, skip 2dc, working

Rpt Rows 8 & 9 once. Fasten off. Rpt rows 8 & 9 in contrast color 1. Fasten off. Join in main color yarn and work Row 8 Turn.

Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * skip 2dc, 7dc in next dc, skip 2dc, 1sc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last single dc, 7dc in last dc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off. DNT.

With RS facing join in contrast color 2, ch1, sl st to base of ch1, * 1sc in each of next 7dc, sl st in next sc, * rpt from * to end, sl st to first sl st on beginning or row.

Finishing - Weave in ends, tie ribbon bow to side of beanie for decoration.
