Materials

60 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in Colour 1

80 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in Colour 2


OR

2.15oz of Worsted Weight #3 in color 1

3oz of Worsted Weight #3 in color 2

4.00mm crochet hook, 4 small buttons


GAUGE - 5sc and 6 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Jacket (Back)


Rib - Using color 1, ch6, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (5sc)

 

Next Row - Working in back loop of stitch only, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn. Rpt the last row until 26 rows have been worked in all. DNT


Working down the side of rib and in row ends, ch1, (RS) 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each row end to end. Turn. Fasten off. (26sc)


Join in color 2.


Next Row - Working through both loops of sc from now on, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.


Rpt last row until 22 rows have been worked from rib or work measures approx 5.25 Inches from beginning. Fasten off.


First Front


# Rib - With color 1 ch6, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (5sc).

 

Next Row - Working in back loop of stitch only, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn. Rpt the last row until 11 rows have been worked in all. DNT

 

Working down the side of rib and in row ends, ch1, (RS) 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each row end to end. Fasten off. (11sc)

 

Join in color 2.


Next Row - Working through both loops of sc from now on, ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.

 

Rpt last row until 18 rows have been worked from rib or work measures approx 4.5 Inches from beginning. # Fasten off.


Shape Neck - Skip 3sc, rejoin yarn to next sc, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn. (8sc)

 

Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.

 

Rpt last row twice or until front measures same as back. Fasten off.


Second Front - Rpt from # to # Turn.


Shape Neck - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 7sc, turn leaving last 3sc un-worked.


Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.

 

Rpt last row twice or until front measures same as back. Fasten off.

 

Sleeves x 2


Rib - With color 1 ch6, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (5sc).

 

Next Row - Working in back loop of stitch only, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn. Rpt the last row until 20 rows have been worked in all. DNT

 

Working down side of rib in row ends, ch1, (RS) 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each row end to end. Fasten off. (20sc)

 

Join in color 2


Increase Row - Working through both loops of sc from now on, ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to last sc, 2sc in last sc. Turn. (22sc)


Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.

 

Rpt last row until 16 rows have been worked from rib or work measures approx 4.25 Inches from beginning. Fasten off.


With WS facing join each front shoulder seam to back of jacket.

 

Front Bands - To include buttonholes, starting with WS facing, join in color 1 to lower edge of left front, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 22sc evenly along and in row ends up front to neck edge, 3sc in corner, work 24sc evenly around neck edge to next corner, 3sc in corner, * ch1, skip 1sc, 1sc in each of next 5sc * rpt from * to * twice, ch1, skip 1sc, 1sc in each of last 3sc. Turn. (4 buttonholes made) Turn.


Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc and ch1 space to neck edge. Fasten off.


With RS facing return to second front edge and working from neck downwards join in color 1 and ch1, work 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Fasten off.


Finishing - Fold sleeves in half, place centre to shoulder seams and with WS facing over sew with needle and yarn the sleeves in position, over sew side and sleeve seams together, sew in and tie off loose ends of yarn. Sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes.


Bobble Hat


Rib - With color 1 ch4, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (3sc).

 

Next Row - Working in back loop of stitch only, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn. Rpt the last row until 54 rows have been worked from rib. Over sew with needle a yarn last row and cast on edge together to make a round. DNT

 

Working around side of rib in row ends, ch1, (RS) 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each row end to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off. (54sc)


Join in color 2.


Next Row - Working through both loops of sc from now on ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.


Rpt last row until 20 rows have been worked from rib or work measures approx 4.5 Inches from beginning (including rib). Fasten off leaving a long thread to gather with, thread length of yarn through alternate sc's on last row and pull to gather, secure and fasten off.


Using color 1 make a Pom Pom, I used the  Clover Pom Pom maker size 45


Finishing - Weave in all loose ends of yarn and trim, attach Pom Pom to crown (the gathered edge)


Pants


Rib - With color 1 ch3, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in next ch. Turn. (2sc).

 

Working in back loop of stitch only, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in next sc. Turn. Rpt the last row until 52 rows have been worked in all. Over sew with needle a yarn last row and cast on edge together to make a round. DNT

 

Working around side of rib in row ends, ch1, (RS) 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each row end to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (52sc)


Next Row - Working through both loops of sc from now on, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.


Rpt last row until 18 rows have been worked from rib or work measures approx 3.75 Inches from beginning. Turn.


Divide for Legs


First Leg - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 25sc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row, turn leaving remaining 26sc un-worked. Continue on these 26sc and rpt last row until 29 rows have been worked from division for first leg. Fasten off.


Second Leg - Return to un-worked 26sc, rejoin yarn to first sc, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each next 25sc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. Complete second leg same as first leg. Fasten off.  


Chain Tie - Using color 2 ch105. Fasten off.


Finishing - Close small gap on crotch, weave in all loose ends of yarn and trim, with RS facing thread chain tie though gaps in stitches around waist.
