Make 37ch, (RS) 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into each ch to end. Turn. (34tr +
3ch)
Row 2 - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next
2tr, * rpt from * to * to end working last tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (45tr +3ch)
Row 3 - 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
Row 4 - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next 2tr * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next
2tr * rpt from * to * to 3ch to turn with, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (59tr +3ch)
Row 5 - As Row 3.
Row 6 - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next
2tr * rpt from * to * to 3ch to turn with, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (78tr + 3ch)
Row 7 - As Row 3.
Row 8 - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next 2tr * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next
2tr * rpt from * to * eleven more times, 3tr into next tr, 1tr in each of next 2tr,
rpt from * to * to 3ch to turn with, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (104tr + 3ch).
Row 9 - (Divide for Armholes) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 16tr,
miss 18tr, (sleeve) 1dc into each of next 35tr, miss 18tr, (sleeve) 1dc into each
of next 16tr, 1dc into top of 3ch. (69dc)
Commence Skirt - Make 5ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next dc, * 2ch, miss 1dc, 1tr into
next dc, 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, make 2ch,
miss 1dc, 1tr into last dc. Turn. (34, 2ch spaces)
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 2ch, 5tr into next dc, miss 2ch, 1dc
into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last (2ch, dc, 5ch) miss 2ch, 5tr into next dc,
work 1dc into 3rd of 5ch. Turn. (17, 5tr groups)
Pattern Row 1 - 5ch, miss 2tr, 1dc into next tr, * 2ch, miss 2tr, 1tr into next dc,
2ch, miss 2tr, 1dc into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr and dc, make 2ch,
miss last 2tr, 1tr into dc. Turn.
Pattern Row 2 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 2ch, 5tr into next dc, miss 2ch,
1dc into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last (2ch, dc, 5ch) miss 2ch, 5tr into next
dc, work 1dc into 3rd of 5ch. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 until five 5tr group rows have been worked or work measures
approx 7.5 inches from shoulder. Fasten off.
Sleeves x 2 - With RS facing, rejoin yarn to dc at base of armhole, (where you divided),
work 3ch, 1tr into each of next 18tr, 1tr into dc on opposite side of sleeve, ss
to top of 3ch on beginning of row to make a round. Turn (19tr + 3ch)
Next Row - 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt last row until 7 rows have been worked in all from yoke or underarm sleeve seam
measures approx 3 inches. Fasten off.
Front Edging - With RS facing and starting at lower edge on right hand side of coat,
work 33dc evenly into row ends up front edge to neck. Turn.
Buttonhole Row - Make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each
of next 8dc, * rpt from * to * twice, make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of remaining
dc. Turn.
Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to end.
Fasten off.
With RS facing join yarn to neck edge on left hand front edge and working downwards,
work 33dc evenly into row ends to end. Turn.
Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch and turning at the end of each row, work
2 rows of 1dc into each dc. Fasten off.
Collar - Missing button/buttonhole bands, rejoin yarn on WS of neck edge, working
along cast on edge, work 3ch, 1tr into each of next 34ch. Turn.
Rpt Row 2 of yoke. Turn.
Shell Edge - 1ch 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1tr, 5tr into next tr, miss 1tr, 1dc
into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 4tr and 3ch to turn with, miss 1tr, 5tr into
next tr, miss 2tr, 1dc into top of 3ch. Fasten off.
Finishing - Close small gaps under arms, weave in loose ends of yarn and trim, attach
buttons to correspond with buttonholes, fold collar onto RS of yoke.
