100 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Colour 1
15 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Colour 2
4.00mm crochet hook

TENSION - 5tr and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Coat - Worked in one piece starting with Yoke.
Make 37ch, (RS) 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into each ch to end. Turn. (34tr +
3ch)
Row 2 - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next
2tr, * rpt from * to * to end working last tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (45tr +3ch)
Row 3 - 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
Row 4 - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next 2tr * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next
2tr * rpt from * to * to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (59tr +3ch)
Row 5 - As Row 3.
Row 6 - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next
2tr * rpt from * to * to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (78tr + 3ch)
Row 7 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end, 1dc into top of 3ch.
Turn. (79dc)
Row 8 - (Inc Row) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next 2dc, * 2dc into next dc,
1dc into each of next 2dc * rpt from * to * to end, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (104dc).
Commence Skirt - 1ch, (1dc, 1tr) into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, (1dc, 1tr) into next
dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, 1dc into dc. Turn. (52 groups)
Next Row - (Divide for armholes) 1ch, (1dc, 1tr) into base of 1ch, * miss 1tr, (1dc,
1tr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * five more times, miss next 11 groups, rpt from
* to * sixteen more times, miss 11 groups rpt from * to * to last tr and dc, miss
tr, work 1dc into last dc. Turn. Fasten off. (30 groups)
Join in colour 2
Pattern Row - 1ch, (1dc, 1tr) into base of 1ch, * miss 1tr, (1dc, 1tr) into next
dc, * rpt from * to * to last tr and dc, miss tr, 1dc into dc. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Row once in colour 2 and then twice in each of the two colours alternately
until 18 Pattern Rows have been worked in all from yoke and you finish on colour
1. Fasten off. (Work measures approx 8 Inches)
Sleeves x 2 - With RS facing, rejoin colour 2 to dc at base of armhole, (where you
divided), 1ch, (1dc, 1tr) into same dc, * miss 1tr, (1dc, 1tr) next dc, * rpt from
* to * across next 10 groups to last dc at the base of the armhole on the opposite
side of sleeve, work (1dc, 1tr) into same dc, ss to dc on beginning of row to make
a round. Turn (13 groups)
Slip stitching to dc and turning at the end of each row, rpt Pattern Row as before
alternating colours 1 & 2 every two rows until 14 rows have been worked from yoke.
Fasten off.
Front Edging - With WS facing and starting at lower edge on left hand side of coat,
work 1dc into each row end up left front, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each stitch around
neck to next corner, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each row end down right front of coat
to end. Turn.
Button Loop Row - Make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc up right front
to last 2dc, make 8ch, ss around dc at base of 8ch, 1dc into next dc. Fasten off.
Return to left side and working from neck edge downwards, rejoin colour 1 to first
dc, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Fasten off.
Pants - With colour 1 make 56ch loosely, ss to first ch to form a ring, 3ch, 1tr
into each ch to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn. (55tr + 3ch)
Next Row - 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt last row until 9 rows have been worked or work measures approx 4 inches from
beginning. Turn.
Divide for legs
First Leg - 3ch, 1tr into each of next 27tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row,
turn leaving remaining 28tr un-worked.
Next Row - 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt last row until 9 rows have been worked or work measures approx 7.5 inches from
beginning. Turn.
Second Leg - Return to 28 un-worked tr at division and complete the same as for first
leg.
Join yarn at waist and starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each
of the starting ch to end, ss to first dc. Turn.
Work one more row in dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Chain Ties - Using colour 2 make one tie of 100ch, and two ties of 75ch.
Finishing - Close small gap underarms, weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn
on coat and pants, sew button to correspond with button loop, thread the 100ch tie
through alternate tr's on waist of pants, thread the two 75ch ties on pant legs through
alternate tr's on the second to last row.
