pull through 6 loops, yrh and pull though 2 loops.

25 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in Colour 1

Oddment of Stylecraft Special DK in Colour 2

4.00mm crochet hook

TENSION - 5tr and 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Using colour 1 make 6ch, ss to first ch to form a ring, 2ch, work 12tr into ring, ss to first tr on beginning of row. Turn. (12tr)

2nd Row - 2ch, 2tr into base of 2ch, 2tr in each tr to end, ss to first tr on beginning of row. Turn. (24tr)

3rd Row - 2ch, 2tr into base of 2ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first tr on beginning of row. Turn. (36tr)

4th Row - 2ch, 2tr into base of 2ch, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first tr on beginning of row. Turn. (48tr)

5th Row - 3ch, 1tr into each of next 46tr. Turn. (46tr + 3ch)

6th to 10th Rows - 3ch, tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

11th Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end, 1dc into top of 3ch. Turn. (47dc)

Brim - 3ch, miss 1dc, (1ps, 1ch, 1ps) into bl of next dc, * miss 2dc, (1ps, 1ch, 1ps) into bl of next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, miss 1dc, 1tr into bl of last dc. Turn. (15, ps groups)

Pattern Row - 3ch, (1ps, 1ch, 1ps) into 1ch space on each ps group to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Fasten off. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row once in colour 2. Fasten off.

Neck Edging - Fold brim back on to bonnet.

Using colour 1, join yarn to front of bonnet and working into row ends along neck edge, work 2 rows of dc catching in brim as you go and turning at the end of row. Fasten off.

Chain Tie - (Optional) With colour 2 make 100ch fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in and trim any loose ends of yarn, thread chain tie through gaps in first dc row around neck edge and make a bow (you can also use ribbon if you prefer for this).
