4.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hook

3 small buttons

Ribbon Rosebud is for decoration only and is optional

TENSION - 4tr and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch using 4.00mm hook

Worked in one piece starting with yoke.

Make 40ch, (RS) 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into each ch to end. Turn. (37tr + 3ch)

Row 2 - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to end, working last tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (49tr +3ch)

Row 3 - 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

Row 4 - (Inc Row) As Row 2. Turn. (65tr +3ch)

Row 5 - As Row 3.

Row 6 - (Inc Row) 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr * rpt from * to * to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (86tr + 3ch)

Row 7 - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each tr to end, 1dc into top of 3ch. Turn. (87dc)

Row 8 - (Inc Row) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next dc, * 2dc into next dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc * rpt from * to * to end, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (115dc).

Row 9 - (Divide for Armholes) Make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 15dc, miss 24dc, 1dc into each of next 35dc, miss 24dc, 1dc into each of next 16dc. Turn. (67dc)

Commence Skirt (Left open from the yoke downwards for easy access) - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, (1tr, 1ch, 1tr, 1ch, 1tr) into next ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next ch * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, miss 1dc, 1tr into last dc. Turn. (16 groups)

Pattern Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * (1tr, 1ch, 1tr, 1ch, 1tr) into next dc, 1dc into centre tr of group * rpt from * to * to end, 1tr into last dc. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row once more.

Change to 4.50mm hook and rpt Pattern Row until 15 rows have been worked in all from division or work measures approx 9.75 Inches from shoulder. Fasten off.

Button/Buttonhole Bands

Using 4.00mm hook with RS facing and starting at lower edge on right hand side of coat, work 38dc evenly along into row ends up first back edge, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch around neck to next corner, 3dc into corner, 38dc evenly along into row ends down second back edge. Turn.

Button Band - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to neck edge. Turn.

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc to end. Fasten off.

Buttonhole Band - With WS facing rejoin yarn to neck edge on opposite side of dress, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next 6dc, * rpt from * to * once, 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into remaining dc. Turn. (3 buttonholes made).

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1 more row of 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to end. Fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in all loose ends of yarn and trim off.
