80 grams of Stylecraft Special DK Yarn in Colour 1
35 grams of King Cole Tinsel in Colour 2
OR
2.90oz of Light Worsted Weight #3 in Color 1
1.25oz of Worsted Fluffy Yarn for Color 2
4.00mm crochet hook, 1 button
GAUGE - 5dc and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Hooded Cape - Starting with yoke using color 1, ch57, (RS) 1dc in 4th ch from hook,
1dc in the next 6ch, (front) 3dc in next ch, 1dc in next 8ch, (shoulder) 3dc in next
ch, 1dc in the next 19ch, (back) 3dc in next ch, 1dc in the next 8ch, (shoulder)
3dc in next ch, 1dc in the next 8ch. (front) Turn. (62dc + ch3)
Row 2 - (Inc Row) ch3, * 1dc in each dc to 3dc group, 1dc in next dc, 3dc in centre
dc on 3dc group, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc group, 1dc in next dc, 3dc in centre
dc on 3dc group, 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in top of ch3. (70dc + ch3)
3rd to 11th Row - rpt 2nd Row. Turn. (142dc + ch3) DNT
Front Bands - Working along front edge of cape in row ends, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1,
work 22 more sc evenly along to neck edge. Turn.
Button Loop Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch20, 1sc in same sc, 1sc in each sc
to end. Fasten off
Return to opposite side of front edge and working from the neck downwards, starting
with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 22 more sc evenly along to end. Turn.
Work one more row of sc. Fasten off.
Hood - With color 1 and RS facing, work along neck edge (starting chain) skip button
loop band and 2st, join yarn to next st, ch3, work 1dc in each of next 50st, turn
leaving last 2st and button band un-worked. (50dc + ch3)
Next Row - ch3, 1dc in each ch to end, dc in top of ch3. Turn.
Rpt last row until 20 rows have been worked from beginning.
Fold hood in half, working through both sides of dc's sl st top edge together. Fasten
off.
Fluffy Edge - With RS facing join color 2 (fluffy yarn) to lower edge on right hand
side of cape, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc up first front edge, 3sc in
corner, 1sc in each row end across top of button loop band, 2sc in each row end around
front of hood, 1sc in each row end along top of button band, 3sc in corner, 1sc in
each sc down second front edge, 3sc in corner, * 1sc in each dc to next 3dc group,
1sc in next dc, 3sc in centre dc on 3dc group, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc group,
1sc in next dc, 3sc in centre dc on 3dc group, 1sc in each dc to end, 1sc in corner,
sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.
Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work two more rows in sc, working 3sc in corners
(including centre sc of 3sc group along the bottom of cape) Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim off, attach a button to correspond
with button loop.
