Materials

40 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK in Colour 1

15 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK in Colour 2

4.50mm crochet hook, 1 Button

TENSION - 5dc and 4 rows measures approx 1 Inch

With colour 1 make 28ch loosely, (RS) 2dc into 2nd ch from hook, * miss 1ch, 2dc into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, miss 1ch, 1dc into last ch. Turn. (27dc)

Pattern Row - 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, 2dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, miss 1dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until 28 rows have been worked in all or work measures approx 6 Inches from beginning. Turn.

Divide for Neck

Side 1 - 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, 2dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * once, miss 1dc, 1dc into next dc. Turn. (7dc)

Row 2 & 3 - Rpt Pattern Row.

Row 4 - (Dec) 1ch, dec 1dc over first 2dc, (see abbev) 2dc into next dc, miss 1dc, 2dc into next dc, miss 1dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (6dc)

Row 5 - 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, miss 1dc, 2dc into next dc, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc. Turn.

Row 6 - 1ch, miss 1st dc, 2dc into next dc, miss 1dc, 2dc into next dc, miss 1dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (5dc)

Strap - Rpt Pattern Row until 37 rows have been worked from division. Turn.

Buttonhole Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next dc, make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc. Turn.

Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc and the 2ch space to end. Fasten off.

Side 2 - Miss 13dc, rejoin colour 1 to next dc, 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, 2dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, miss 1dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (7dc)

Rpt Pattern Row until 6 rows have been worked in all. Fasten off.

Border - With WS facing rejoin colour 1 to top of strap, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch,  1dc into each dc across top of strap, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each row end down strap and first side of bib, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along starting ch, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each row end along second side of bib, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each dc along shoulder, 3dc into corner, 5dc along first side of neck, 1dc into each of next 13dc, 1dc into each row end along strap, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc. Fasten off. Turn.

Join in colour 2, start with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch and work one row of 1dc into each dc around bib and strap to end, working 3dc into the corners. Turn.

Work one row of crab stitch (see abbrev) Fasten off.
