Back - (Rib) ch5, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. (4sc)

 

Next Row - Working in back loop of stitch only ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.


Rpt last row until 41 rows have been worked in all from beginning. DNT at the end of row 41.

 

Working along the side of the work, ch3, work 1dc in each of next 40 row ends. Turn. (40dc + ch3)


Next Row - ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.


Rpt last row until 19 rows have been worked in all or work measures approx 8.5 Inches in all. Fasten off.

 

Left Front - (Rib) ch5, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. (4sc)

 

Next Row - Working in back loop of stitch only ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.


Rpt last row until 18 rows have been worked in all from beginning. DNT at the end of row 18.

 

Working along the side of the work, ch3, 1dc in each of next 3 row ends, ch1, skip 1 row end, dc4tog in next row end, ch1, skip 1 row end, 1dc in each of next 11 row ends. Turn.


Pattern Row 1 - ch3, 1dc in each of next 10dc, 1dc in next ch1 space, 1dc in top of dc4tog, 1dc in ch1 space, 1dc in next 3dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (17dc + ch3)

Continue without dec until 19 rows have been worked or front measures same as back. Fasten off.

Sleeves x 2 - (Rib) ch5, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. (4sc)

 

Next Row - Working in back loop of stitch only ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.


Rpt last row until 25 rows have been worked in all from beginning. DNT.

 

Working along the side of the work (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 1dc in each dc to ch3 to turn with, work 2dc in top of ch3. (26dc + ch3)

 

Next Row - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 1dc in each dc to ch3 to turn with, work 2dc in top of ch3. Turn.

 

Rpt last row until 36dc + ch3 remain.


Continue without shaping until sleeve seam measures approx 5 Inches from beginning or 10 rows have been worked from beginning. Fasten off.

 

Join shoulder seams, fold sleeves in half lengthways, then placing folds to shoulder seams sew sleeves in position. Join side and sleeve seams.

 

Front Edging - With RS facing and starting at lower edge of right hand front as worn, work 25sc evenly up right front to base of V, 3sc in base of V, work 16sc evenly along V to shoulder, 1sc in each sc along neck edge, 16sc evenly along second V, 3sc in corner, work 25sc evenly down left front. Turn.


Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work one more row of 1sc in each sc, working 3sc in corners. Turn.

 

Next Row - (Buttonholes) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 3sc, * ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in next 6sc, * rpt from * to * twice, ch2, skip 1sc, 3sc in corner at base of V, 1sc in each sc around neck, 3sc in base of V, 1sc in remaining sc. Turn. (4 buttonholes made)


Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to bottom of V, sl st in each sc around neck to bottom of second V, 1sc in each sc and ch2 spaces to end. Fasten off.

 

Finishing - Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn. Sew on buttons.
