TENSION - 4.5tr and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Cardi - Worked in one piece starting with yoke, using colour 1 and 4.00mm hook, make
47ch, (RS) 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into the next 4ch, (front) 3tr into next
ch, 1tr into next 7ch, (shoulder) 3tr into next ch, 1tr into the next 15ch, (back)
3tr into next ch, 1tr into the next 7ch, (shoulder) 3tr into next ch, 1tr into the
next 6ch. (front) Turn. (52tr + 3ch)
Rows 2 to 7 - Make 3ch, * 1tr into each tr to 3tr group, 1tr into next tr, 3tr into
centre tr on 3tr group, * rpt from * to * to last 3tr group, 1tr into next tr, 3tr
into centre tr on 3tr group, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
You should have 100tr + 3ch at the end of Row 7.

Sleeves x 2 - With WS facing join colour 1 to centre tr of 3tr underarm, make 1ch,
work 1dc into base of ch, 1dc into each of next 21tr, 1dc into centre tr of 3tr underarm
on opposite side of sleeve, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (23dc)
Next Row - 3ch, * miss 2dc, 6tr into next dc, miss 2dc, (1tr, 1ch, 1tr) into next
dc, * rpt from * to * to last 4dc, miss 2dc, 6tr into next dc, miss 1dc, work (1tr,
1ch) into base of 3ch on beginning of row, ss to top of the 3ch. Turn. (4, 6tr groups)
Next Row - ss to 1ch space on first vst, work (4ch, 1tr) into same space, 1ch, miss

Next Row - ss over 1ch space and dc into 3ch space, work (3ch, 5tr) into 3ch space,

Join in colour 2 and rpt last 2 rows once. Fasten off.

Button/buttonholes Bands - With colour 1, start on lower edge of right hand front
edge, work 32 dc’s evenly up first front edge to corner, 3dc into corner, 1dc into
each tr around neck, 3dc into corner, work 32 dc’s evenly down second front edge
to end. Fasten off. Turn.
Next Row - Join in colour 2 to first dc, make 1ch, work 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc
into each dc to corner. Fasten off. Turn.
Join in colour 1 and rpt last row once. Fasten off.
Buttonhole Row - Working from neck downwards, join colour 2 to first dc on opposite
front edge, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of next
6dc, * rpt from * to * once, make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of remaining dc. Fasten
off. Turn.
Join in colour 1 and starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1dc, work 1dc into each
dc and 2ch space to end. Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave in ends, attach buttons to correspond with buttonholes.
Bibbed Nappy Cover
Back - With colour 2 and 4.00mm hook, make 51ch loosely, (RS) work 1htr into 2nd
ch from hook, 1htr into each ch to end. Turn. (50htr)
2nd Row - 1ch, 1htr into base of 1ch, 1htr into each htr to end. Turn.
Rpt 2nd Row until 14 rows have been worked. Fasten off. Turn.
Shape Crotch - Miss 15htr, join yarn to next tr, make 1ch, 1htr into base of 1ch,
1htr into each of next 19htr, turn leaving remaining 15htr un-worked. (20htr)
Decrease Row - 1ch, 1htr into base of 1ch, dec (see abbrev) over next 2htr, 1htr
into each htr to last 3htr, dec 1htr over next 2htr, 1htr into last htr. Turn. (18htr)
Rpt Decrease Row until 8htr remain. Turn.
Rpt 2nd Row once. Turn.
Front
Increase Row - 1ch, 1htr into base of 1ch, 2htr into next htr, 1htr into each htr
to last 2htr, 2tr into next htr, 1htr into last htr. Turn. (10htr)
Rpt Increase Row until you have 20htr. Turn. (20htr)
Rpt 2nd Row fourteen more times. Fasten off. Turn.
Bib - Miss 5htr, join yarn to next htr, 1ch 1htr into base of 1ch, 1htr into each

Rpt 2nd Row until 6 rows have been worked for bib. Turn.
Border - Change to 5.00mm hook, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc
to corner, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each of next 6 row ends down first side of bib,
1dc into each of next 4htr, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each of next 28 row ends, 1dc
into each of next 14htr, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each of next 14 row ends, 3dc
into corner, working along cast on edge, work 1dc into each of next 48htr, 3dc into
corner, 1dc into each of next 14 row ends, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each of next
14htr, 1dc into each of next 28 row ends, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each of next
4htr, 1dc into each of next 6 row ends up second side of bib, 1dc into corner, ss
to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc all around nappy cover and
bib to end, working 3dc into corners, ss to first dc. Fasten off.
Straps x 2 - Using 4.00mm hook make 4ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each
ch to end. Turn.
Next Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Rpt last row until 31 rows have been worked. Turn. (you work more rows for a longer
strap if preferred)
Next Row - (Buttonhole Row) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into
last dc. Turn.
Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into 2ch space and dc. Fasten off.
Chain Tie - Make 130ch. Fasten off.
Finishing - Weave in all loose ends of yarn, thread chain tie through alternate htr's
on waist and tie in a bow. Sew a button on each corner of the flap and use gaps between
htr's on front of nappy cover as buttonholes.
Attach each strap end to the back on the inside of the waistband, approx 1.5 Inches
apart, (in line with edges of bib) sew buttons to corners on bib and fasten through
holes on straps.
