Small amount of Stylecraft Special DK in Colour 1

Small amount of Stylecraft Special DK Yarn in Colour 2


OR

Small amount of Light Worsted Weight #3 in Color 1

Small amount of Light Worsted Weight #3 in Color 2

4.00mm crochet hook


GAUGE - 5hdc and 3 rows measure approx 1 Inch using 4.00mm hook

Starting with Sole and color 1, ch11, (RS) 3hdc in 4th ch from hook, 1hdc in each of next 6ch, 8hdc in last ch, working on opposite side of cast on ch, work 1hdc in each of next 6ch, 4hdc in last ch, sl st to top of the ch3 on beginning of row. DNT. (27hdc + ch2)


Second Round - ch2, work 2hdc in each of next 3hdc, 1hdc in each of next 8hdc, 2hdc in each of next 6hdc, 1hdc in each of next 8hdc, 2hdc in each of last 2hdc, 1hdc in base of ch2, sl st to top of ch2. DNT. (39hdc + ch2).


Third Round - ch2, skip first hdc, 1hdc in each hdc to end, 1hdc in base of ch2, sl st to top of ch2. DNT.


Fourth Round - Working in back loop of stitch only, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each hdc to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. (40sc)


Fifth Round - Working through both loops ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. Rpt last row twice. Fasten off.


Instep - With RS facing, color 2 and counting from where you fastened off, skip 9sc, rejoin yarn with a sl st to next sc, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in next 21sc. Turn leaving 9sc un-worked. (22sc)


Next Row - (Dec Row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, dec 1sc over next 2sc, (see abbrev) 10 times, 1sc in last sc. Turn. (12sc)


Next Row - (Dec Row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, dec 1sc over next 2sc, 5 times, 1sc in last sc. Turn. (7sc)


Next Row - Insert hook and pull up loop in each of next 7sc, yo and pull through all loops on hook, ch1 to close. Fasten off.


Top - With toe towards you and RS facing join in color 1 with a sl st to top of instep, starting with ch1, work 4sc evenly across first half of top of instep, 1sc in each of the next 18sc (around first side of foot, heel and second side of foot), 4sc evenly across second half of top of instep. Turn. (26sc)


Starting with ch1, work one row of 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.


Eyelet Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in next sc, * ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each of next 2sc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (8, ch2 spaces)


Starting with ch1, work 1sc in each sc and ch2 space to end. Turn. (26sc) Work one row of 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.


Next Row - Working in back loop of stitch ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.


Next Row - Working through both loops of stitch from now on work one more row of sc.


Edging - ch1, 2sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to last sc, 3sc in last sc, work 1sc in each row end down first side of split, sl st in top of instep, 1sc in each row end up second side of split, 1sc in base of ch1, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.


Chain Tie - ch96, sl st into 2nd ch from hook, sl st into each ch to end. Fasten off


Finishing - Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn, thread chain tie through eyelet holes on ankle and tie in a bow, fold down top.
