Materials
Small amount of Stylecraft Special DK in Colour 1
Small amount of Stylecraft Special DK Yarn in Colour 2
4.00mm crochet hook
TENSION - 5htr and 3 rows measure approx 1 Inch using 4.00mm hook

Starting with Sole and colour 1 make 11ch, (RS) 3htr into 4th ch from hook, 1htr
into each of next 6ch, 8htr into last ch, working on opposite side of cast on ch,
work 1htr into each of next 6ch, 4htr into last ch, ss to top of the 3ch on beginning
of row. DNT. (27htr + 2ch)
Second Round - 2ch, work 2htr into each of next 3htr, 1htr into each of next 8htr,
2htr into each of next 6htr, 1htr into each of next 8htr, 2htr into each of last
2htr, 1htr into base of 2ch, ss to top of 2ch. DNT. (39htr + 2ch).
Third Round - 2ch, miss first htr, 1htr into each htr to end, 1htr into base of 2ch,
ss to top of 2ch. DNT.
Fourth Round - Working into back loop of stitch only, make 1ch, 1dc into base of
1ch, 1dc into each htr to end, ss to first dc. Turn. (40dc)
Fifth Round - Working through both loops make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into
each dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn. Rpt last row twice. Fasten off.
Instep - With RS facing, colour 2 and counting from where you fastened off, miss
9dc, rejoin yarn with a ss to next dc, 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next 21dc.
Turn leaving 9dc un-worked. (22dc)
Next Row - (Dec Row) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (see abbrev)
10 times, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (12dc)
Next Row - (Dec Row) 1ch, 1dc in base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 5 times, 1dc
into last dc. Turn. (7dc)
Next Row - Insert hook and pull up loop in each of next 7dc, yrh and pull through
all loops on hook, work 1ch to close. Fasten off.
Top - With toe towards you and RS facing join in colour 1 with a ss to top of instep,
starting with 1ch, work 4dc evenly across first half of top of instep, 1dc into each
of the next 18dc (around first side of foot, heel and second side of foot), 4dc evenly
across second half of top of instep. Turn. (26dc)
Starting with 1ch, work one row of 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Eyelet Row - 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next dc, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc
into each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (8, 2ch spaces)
Starting with 1ch, work 1dc into each dc and 2ch space to end. Turn. (26dc) Work
one row of 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Next Row - Working into back loop of stitch make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into
each dc to end. Turn.
Next Row - Working through both loops of stitch from now on work one more row of
dc.
Edging - 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to last dc, 3dc into last dc,
work 1dc into each row end down first side of split, ss into top of instep, 1dc into
each row end up second side of split, 1dc into base of 1ch, ss to first dc. Fasten
off.
Chain Tie - Make 96ch, ss into 2nd ch from hook, ss into each ch to end. Fasten off
Finishing - Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn, thread chain tie through
eyelet holes on ankle and tie in a bow, fold down top.
