small amount of 6mm wide ribbon
Ribbon Rosebuds and buttons used for decoration are optional
GAUGE - 4dc and 2 rows of dc's measures approx 1 Inch using 4.00mm hook

Sleep-Suit - (Worked in one piece starting with Yoke) With 4.00mm hook ch45, 1dc
in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in each ch to end (42dc + ch3) Turn.
Row 2 - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of
next 3dc, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc and ch3, 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next
2dc, 1dc in top of ch3, (52dc +ch3). Turn.
Row 3 - ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.
Row 4 - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in next dc * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc
* rpt from * to * to last 2dc and ch3, 2dc in next dc, 1dc in last dc, 1dc in top
of ch3. Turn. (69dc +ch3)
Row 5 - Rpt Row 3 Turn.
Row 6 - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in next dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc
* rpt from * to * to last dc and ch3, 2dc in next dc, 1dc in top of ch3 (92dc + ch3)
Turn.
Row 7 - Rpt Row 3 Turn.
Row 8 - (Divide for armholes) ch3, 1dc in each of next 14dc, ch2, skip 16dc, 1dc
in each of next 31dc, ch2, skip 16dc, 1dc in each of next 14dc, 1dc in top of ch3.
Turn. (60dc, 2, ch2 spaces + ch3)
Row 9 - Working in back loop of stitch only ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each
dc and ch2 space to end, 1sc in top of ch3. Turn. (63sc)
Change to 5.00mm hook.
Commence Body - Work through both loops from now on, ch2, * skip 1sc, (1hdc, ch1,
1hdc) in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last 2sc, skip 1sc, 1hdc in last sc. Turn.
(30, vst + ch2)
Pattern Row - ch2, (1hdc, ch1, 1hdc) in each ch1 space to end, 1hdc in top of ch2.
Turn.
Rpt Pattern Row 32 more times until 34 rows have been worked or work measures approx
11.5 Inches from yoke. Turn.
Edging - Working along bottom of sleep-suit and skipping all ch1 spaces, work ch1,
2sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc to end, 3sc in top of ch2, work 50sc evenly in
row ends along first front edge to corner, 3sc in corner, 1sc in dc around neck to
next corner, 3sc in corner, work 50sc evenly in row ends along second front edge,
1sc in corner, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.
Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to corner, 1sc in corner. Turn.
Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in sc to end. Fasten off.
Return to first front edge and working from neck downwards work ch1, 1sc in base
of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.
Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in sc to end. Fasten off.
Sleeves x 2 - With 4.00mm hook and WS facing, rejoin yarn to side of dc on base of
armhole, (where you divided) ch3, work 1dc in same space, 1dc in each dc to opposite
side of sleeve, 2dc in side of dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.
(19dc + ch3)
Next Row - Working in back loop of stitch only ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each
dc to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. (20sc)
Next Row - Working through both loops ch3, 1hdc in base of ch3, * skip 1sc, work
(1hdc, ch1, 1hdc) in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, skip last sc, sl st to
2nd of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (10 vst)
Pattern Row 1 - ch2, work (1hdc, ch1, 1hdc) in each ch1 space to last hdc and ch1,
work 1dc, ch1 in last ch1 space, sl st to top of ch2 on beginning of row. Turn.
Pattern Row 2 - ch3, 1hdc in base of ch3, work (1hdc, ch1, 1hdc) in each ch1 space
to end, sl st to 2nd of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.
Continue with Pattern Rows 1 & 2 until 7 rows in all have been worked from yoke,
or sleeve seam measures 2.5 Inches. Fasten off.
Working downwards rejoin yarn with a sl st to first loop on loose loops around yoke,
work * ch3, sl st, * in next loop, * rpt from * to * to end. Fasten off. Rejoin yarn
underarm and rpt last row around loose loops on sleeves, sl st to first sl st on
beginning of row.
Finishing - With WS facing overlap front edges and centre to the back edge (pin to
back to keep in place) using 5.00mm hook, sl st through sc from front and back along
bottom of sleep-suit to close edge, (see pic) close small gap underarms, sew in and
tie off loose ends of yarn, atta
ch ribbon on yoke and tie in bows.
Hat - (Worked in rounds without turning to 5th row) - With 4.00mm hook, ch5, join
to first ch with a sl st to form a ring, ch3, work 11dc in ring, join with sl st
to top of ch3 on beginning of row.
2nd Row - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 2dc in each of next 11dc, sl st to top
of ch3 on beginning of row. (23dc + ch3).
3rd Row - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 1dc in next dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc
in next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. (35dc
+ ch3)
4th Row - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * 2dc in next
dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning
of row. (47dc + ch3)
5th Row - Working in back loop of stitch only ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each
dc to end, sl st to first sc. Turn. (48sc)
Work through both loops from now on, ch3, 1hdc in base of ch3, * skip 1sc, (1hdc,
ch1, 1hdc) in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, skip last sc, sl st to 2nd of
ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (24vst)
1st Pattern Row - ch2, work (1hdc, ch1, 1hdc) in each ch1 space to last hdc and ch1,
work 1hdc, ch1 in last ch1 space, sl st to top of ch2 on beginning of row. Turn.
2nd Pattern Row - ch3, 1hdc in ch1 space at base of ch3, work (1hdc, ch1, 1hdc) in
each ch1 space to end, sl st to 2nd of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.
Continue with 1st & 2nd Pattern Rows until nine pattern rows have been worked in
all. Fasten off.
With crown facing towards you sl st to first loose loop (created on the 5th Row),
work * ch3, sl st in next loop, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to first sl st on
beginning of row. Fasten off.
Finishing - Sew in and tie off loose ends of yarn.
