GAUGE - 5dc and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Coat - Worked in one piece starting with Yoke.


ch37, (RS) 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in each ch to end. Turn. (34dc + ch3)


Row 2 - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in next dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end working last dc in top of ch3. Turn. (45dc +ch3)


Row 3 - ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.


Row 4 - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in next 2dc * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc * rpt from * to * to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (59dc +ch3)


Row 5 - As Row 3.


Row 6 - (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in next dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc * rpt from * to * to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (78dc + ch3)


Row 7 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc to end, 1sc in top of ch3. Turn. (79sc)


Row 8 - (Inc Row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in next 2sc, * 2sc in next sc, 1sc in each of next 2sc * rpt from * to * to end, 1sc in last sc. Turn. (104sc)


Commence Skirt - ch1, (1sc, 1dc) in base of ch1, * skip 1sc, (1sc, 1dc) in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last sc, 1sc in sc. Turn. (52 groups)


Next Row - (Divide for armholes) ch1, (1sc, 1dc) in base of ch1, * skip 1dc, (1sc, 1dc) in next sc, * rpt from * to * five more times, skip next 11 groups, rpt from * to * sixteen more times, skip 11 groups rpt from * to * to last dc and sc, skip dc, work 1sc in last sc. Turn. Fasten off. (30 groups)


Join in color 2


Pattern Row - ch1, (1sc, 1dc) in base of ch1, * skip 1dc, (1sc, 1dc) in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last dc and sc, skip dc, 1sc in sc. Turn.


Rpt Pattern Row once in color 2 and then twice in each of the two colors alternately until 18 Pattern Rows have been worked in all from yoke and you finish on color 1. Fasten off. (Work measures approx 8 Inches)


Sleeves x 2 - With RS facing, rejoin color 2 to sc at base of armhole, (where you divided), ch1, (1sc, 1dc) in same sc, * skip 1dc, (1sc, 1dc) next sc, * rpt from * to * across next 10 groups to last sc at the base of the armhole on the opposite side of sleeve, work (1sc, 1dc) in same sc, sl st to sc on beginning of row to make a round. Turn (13 groups).


Slip stitching to sc and turning at the end of each row, rpt Pattern Row as before alternating colors 1 & 2 every two rows until 14 rows have been worked from yoke, finishing on color 1. Fasten off. (Underarm sleeve seam measures approx 3.5 Inches)


Front Edging - With WS facing and starting at lower edge on left hand side of coat, work 1sc in each row end up left front, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each stitch around neck to next corner, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each row end down right front of coat to end. Turn.


Button Loop Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc up right front to last 2sc, ch8, sl st around sc at base of ch8, 1sc in next sc. Fasten off.


Return to left side and working from neck edge downwards, rejoin color 1 to first sc, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Fasten off.


Pants - With color 1 ch56 loosely, sl st to first ch to form a ring, ch3, 1dc in each ch to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (55dc + ch3)


Next Row - ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.


Rpt last row until 9 rows have been worked or work measures approx 4 inches from beginning. Turn.


Divide for legs


First Leg - ch3, 1dc in each of next 27dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row, turn leaving remaining 28dc un-worked.


Next Row - ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.


Rpt last row until 9 rows have been worked or work measures approx 7.5 inches from beginning. Turn.


Second Leg - Return to 28 un-worked dc at division and complete the same as for first leg.


Join yarn at waist and starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each of the starting ch to end, sl st to first sc. Turn.


Work one more row in sc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off.


Chain Ties - Using color 2 make one tie of 100ch, and two ties of 75ch.


Finishing - Close small gap underarms, weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn on coat and pants, sew button to correspond with button loop, thread the 100ch tie through alternate dc's on waist of pants, thread the two 75ch ties on pant legs through alternate dc's on the second to last row.
