60 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in Color 1
Oddment of Stylecraft Special DK in Color 2
OR
2.15oz of Light Worsted Weight #3 in Color 1
Oddment of Light Worsted Weight #3 in Color 2
4.00mm & 4.50mm crochet hooks, 3 buttons
GAUGE - 4.5dc and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch on 4.00mm hook

Worked in one piece starting with yoke.
Using color 1, ch47, (RS) 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in the next 4ch, (front) 3dc
in next ch, 1dc in next 7ch, (shoulder) 3dc in next ch, 1dc in the next 15ch, (back)
3dc in next ch, 1dc in the next 7ch, (shoulder) 3dc in next ch, 1dc in the next 6ch.
(front) Turn. (52dc + ch3)
Rows 2 to 7 - ch3, * 1dc in each dc to 3dc group, 1dc in next dc, 3dc in centre dc
on 3dc group, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc group, 1dc in next dc, 3dc in centre
dc on 3dc group, 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.
You should have 100dc + ch3 at the end of Row 7.
Row 8 - (Divide for Armholes) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 12dc,
2sc, ch1 in next dc, skip 21dc, 2sc in next dc, 1sc in each of next 29dc, 2sc, ch1
in next dc, skip 21dc, 2sc in next dc, 1sc in each dc to end, 1sc in top of ch3.
Turn. (63sc + 2, ch1 spaces)
Row 9 - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc and ch1 space to end. Turn. (65sc)
Change to 4.50mm hook.
Commence Skirt - ch3, skip 1sc, (1ps, ch1, 1ps) in next sc, * skip 2sc, (1ps, ch1,
1ps) in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last 2sc, skip 1sc, 1dc in last sc. Turn. (21ps
groups)
Pattern Row - ch3, (1ps, ch1, 1ps) in ch1 space on each ps group to end, 1dc in top
of ch3. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Row until 6 rows have been worked or work measures approx 7.5 Inches
from shoulder. Fasten off. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Row once in color 2. Fasten off.
Sleeves x 2 - With WS facing and 4.50mm hook, join color 1 to centre dc of 3dc underarm,
ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 21dc, 1sc in centre dc of 3dc on opposite
side of sleeve, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (23sc)
2nd Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning
of row. Turn.
3rd Row - ch3, skip 1sc, (1ps, ch1, 1ps) in next sc, * skip 2sc, (1ps, ch1, 1ps)
in next sc * rpt from * to * to last 2sc, skip 1sc, 1dc in next sc, sl st to top
of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (7ps, 1dc + ch3)
4th Row - sl st to first ch1 space, ch3, (1ps, ch1, 1ps) in same space, work (1ps,
ch1, 1ps) in ch1 space on each ps group to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning
of row. Turn.
Rpt 4th Row twice. Fasten off.
Join in color 2 and rpt 4th Row once. Fasten off.
Button/buttonholes Bands - With 4.00mm hook, join color 1 to bottom of right hand
front edge, work 30sc evenly up first front edge to corner, 3sc in corner, 1sc in
each ch around neck, 3sc in corner, work 30sc evenly down second front edge to end.
Turn.
Next Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to corner. Turn.
Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1 more row of 1sc in each sc to end.
Fasten off.
Buttonhole Row - Working from neck downwards, join color 1 to first sc on opposite
front edge, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each of next 5sc, *
rpt from * to * once, ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each of remaining sc. Turn.
Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of 1sc, work 1sc in each sc and ch2 space to end.
Fasten off. Turn.
Next Row - Join in color 2, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc up first front
edge, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each row end along the top of button band, 1sc in each
sc around neck and in row ends along the top of buttonhole band, 3sc in corner, 1sc
in each sc down second front edge to end. Fasten off.
Finishing - Close small gaps underarm, weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim off,
attach buttons to correspond with buttonholes.
