pull through 6 loops, yo and pull though 2 loops.

25 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in Color 1

Oddment of Stylecraft Special DK in Color 2

OR

1oz of Light Worsted Weight #3 in Color 1

Oddment of Light Worsted Weight #3 in Color 2

4.00mm crochet hook

GAUGE - 5dc and 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Using color 1 ch6, sl st to first ch to form a ring, ch2, work 12dc in ring, sl st to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (12dc)

2nd Row - ch2, 2dc in base of ch2, 2dc in each dc to end, sl st to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (24dc)

3rd Row - ch2, 2dc in base of ch2, 1dc in next dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (36dc)

4th Row - ch2, 2dc in base of ch2, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (48dc)

5th Row - ch3, 1dc in each of next 46dc. Turn. (46dc + ch3)

6th to 10th Rows - ch3, dc in each dc to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.

11th Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc to end, 1sc in top of ch3. Turn. (47sc)

Brim - ch3, skip 1sc, (1ps, ch1, 1ps) in bl of next sc, * skip 2sc, (1ps, ch1, 1ps) in bl of next sc, * rpt from * to * to last 2sc, skip 1sc, 1dc in bl of last sc. Turn. (15, ps groups)

Pattern Row - ch3, (1ps, ch1, 1ps) in ch1 space on each ps group to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Fasten off. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row once in color 2. Fasten off.

Neck Edging - Fold brim back on to bonnet.

Using color 1, join yarn to front of bonnet and working in row ends along neck edge, work 2 rows of sc catching in brim as you go and turning at the end of row. Fasten off.

Chain Tie - (Optional) With color 2 ch100 fasten off.

Finishing - Weave in and trim any loose ends of yarn, thread chain tie through gaps in first sc row around neck edge and make a bow (you can also use ribbon if you prefer for this).
